1974 Jensen Interceptor III
This project started with a very solid rust free Californian car.
It was completely disassembled and fully cleaned to bear metal after which it was carefully and meticulously corrected/repaired and painted.
A comprehensive restoration was accomplished by one of Europe’s highly appreciated JOC members and top Jensen experts mr. Stef Schackman of Klassieker Service Schackman.
Every nut and bolt has passed through his hands and he did not spare time or cut corners on anything in order to make this car stand out in detailed perfection.
Exclusive and unique upgrades were added while totally respecting the Jensens’ original design.
Everything on this car is brand-new or meticulously rebuilt to at least OEM specs or better.
For example: Stef even used New Old Stock parts for the heat exchanger in the heating unit and the airco unit to make sure that this will not cause problems for many years to come.
The engine was completely overhauled by one of the Netherlands’ top experts, mr. Eugene Salomon of Track Motortechniek.
Again, all parts in the engine were renewed/overhauled to better than OEM specs by using less than the allowable tolerances.
The reconstruction process took about 1400 working hours.
That’s an impressive amount but it translates immediately to the unparalleled quality the car has.
With it’s super original refined looks, it’s hidden safety and exclusive luxury improvements combined with it’s massive power, it totally stands out!
It has never been on the market before; it has never been on the road before; it is totally brand-new in every sense and it is now available…
A nice detail: the new owner will be registered on the car’s paperwork as ‘1st owner’.
Stef Schackman likes to mention the following:
At the time the photos were taken, the Jensen was not yet released by him; it needed final tweaking, which he will take care of soon.
Also he noted that on several pictures the hood was not latched correctly. (That’s how precise he is!)
